WHAT IS GLOBALIZATION?

Hi, I studied about globalization today.

Globalization has a lot of meanings but according to the dictionary, the word globalization is "the process of making something such as a business operate in a lot of different countries all around the world, or the result of this".

And there are the following definitions represent currently influential views:

• Integration on the basis of a project pursuing "market rule on a global scale" (P. McMichael, Development and Social Change, 2000, p. ххⅲ, 149).
• "A social process in which the constraints of geography on social and cultural arrangements recede and in which people become increasingly aware that they are receding" (M. Waters, Globalization, 1995, p. 3).
• "The compression of the world and the intensification of consciousness of the world as a whole. . . . concrete global interdependance and consciousness of the global whole in the twentieth century" (R. Robertson, Globalization, 1992, p.8).

Globalization is thus defined many people and I thought it is a hard word to define. I want to know about globalization more and more. I will go to the school and study about it tomorrow.
