Reaganomics
Today, I learned about Ronald Wilson Reagan who was the 40th president of the United States(1981-1989) on the Internet.
He was born in Tampico, Illinois, February 6, 1911. After he graduated the university, he became an actor. He appeared many films and radios. In 1940, he married Jane Wyman who was an actress, but he divorced eight years later and he remarried Nancy Davis who was an actress in 1952. He assumed the premiership in 1981. His economic policy was called Reaganomics. The axis of Reaganomics was tax reduction, a change of supply distribution, deregulation and fighting inflation.
He had something in his nature that everyone couldn't hate. But once he had a little mistake. In 1984, before the radio speech, he tried to saying "My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing begins in five minutes." instead of saying "Testing, testing, one, two, three". It was broadcasted all over the world and people all over the world were surprised him very much.
I like his character. I want to know about details of his economic policy "Reaganomics" more.

WHAT IS GLOBALIZATION?
Hi, I studied about globalization today.
Globalization has a lot of meanings but according to the dictionary, the word globalization is "the process of making something such as a business operate in a lot of different countries all around the world, or the result of this".
And there are the following definitions represent currently influential views:
Globalization has a lot of meanings but according to the dictionary, the word globalization is "the process of making something such as a business operate in a lot of different countries all around the world, or the result of this".
And there are the following definitions represent currently influential views:
- Integration on the basis of a project pursuing "market rule on a global scale" (P. McMichael, Development and Social Change, 2000, p. ххⅲ, 149).
- "A social process in which the constraints of geography on social and cultural arrangements recede and in which people become increasingly aware that they are receding" (M. Waters, Globalization, 1995, p. 3).
- "The compression of the world and the intensification of consciousness of the world as a whole. . . . concrete global interdependance and consciousness of the global whole in the twentieth century" (R. Robertson, Globalization, 1992, p.8).
Globalization is thus defined many people and I thought it is a hard word to define. I want to know about globalization more and more. I will go to the school and study about it tomorrow.

NEOLIBERALISM
I am reading a book written by David Harvey.
The title of the book is "A Brief History of Neoliberalism".
This is a textbook of my course at UW.
From this book, I learned about four famous politicians; Deng Xiaoping, Margaret Thatcher, Paul Volcker and Ronald Reagan.
I want to write about them today.
First, Deng Xiaoping was a prominent Chinese politician, as well as the late leader of the Communist Party of China. He transformed China from a closed backwater to an open center of capitalist dynamism with sustained growth rates unparalleled.
Margaret Thatcher is a British politician and she was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990. She was the first woman Prime Minister in United Kingdom. She called " The Iron Lady" because she was conservative and belligerent. She put an end to the miserable inflationary stagnation that had enveloped the country.
Paul Volcker is an American economist. He took command at the US Federal Reserve in July 1979, under United States Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan, and within a few months dramatically changed monetary policy.
Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of the United States and he was an actor of Hollywood when he was young. He set the US on course to revitalize its economy by supporting Volcker's moves. He deregulated industry, agriculture, and resource extraction, and liberate the powers of finance both internally and on the world stage.
They all flourished in 1978-80, future histrians may well look upon the years 1978-80 as a revolutionary turning-point in the world's social and economic history.
I want to study and know about economy and politics more and more.
